Vision, Purpose and Destiny

The above three words are all progressive, mobile, and can never be passive. So, the best place to start with something is always at the beginning.

In the early to mid 1970’s, I was employed by a large land transportation and communications conglomerate in the San Francisco, California area as a Marketing and Sales Executive. After numerous promotions, transfers and management advancements, we found ourselves right back where we began—in good old West Texas!

In the fall of 1987, after my employer gave me a severance buy-out package, my wife, Barbara, and I enrolled in Bible school. By the time we graduated, we knew our final destination, but did not have the whole picture because there were still pieces missing to the puzzle.

Shortly after graduation from Bible School, I was praying one afternoon and the Spirit of the Lord came upon me and I was impressed to read the following scripture: Acts 9:6 “Go into the city and it will be shown what you are to do.” There is a showing that accompanies a doing. So, in August 1989 I departed for San Diego, California where through much prayer, fasting and seeking the Lord, God led us to Seedtime and Harvest Church, and my wife Barbara and I were set in as Sr. Pastors.

I believe the key to all that God has done in our lives and has blessed us with, is first, in order to be blessed we first had to become a blessing; therefore, we put our hand to the plow in serving and sowing and we never looked back.

When I minister, God anoints me in the office of Pastor/Prophet/Apostle and it’s mixed with humor through the power of the Holy Spirit which causes effective change to the body of Christ.
